Squerryes, the ninth‑generation Kent estate and founding member of the Wine Garden of England, has appointed Island Media as its UK PR agency. The partnership supports Squerryes through a significant period of growth as the estate strengthens its position as London’s local vineyard, expands its national trade presence, and prepares for the summer release of its new premium cuvée, Patience, launching on 1st July 2026.
With a market‑leading direct‑to‑consumer community through their thriving wine club, Squerryes is entering a new strategic phase that will focus on elevating visibility across London restaurants, national accounts and specialist wine media – while continuing to champion the heritage, terroir and craftsmanship that define the estate. Squerryes produces vintage‑only sparkling wines crafted from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, led by winemaker Tom Barratt-Jones and supported by Laura Evans MW.
Henry Warde, ninth‑generation owner of Squerryes, said: “The last twenty years of developing the Squerryes brand has been a hugely enriching and exciting process as English sparkling wine has placed itself on the world forum. Being a founding member of the Wine Garden of England has also helped us establish Kent as a respected wine region of the UK. At Squerryes we’ve been focused on building a market‑leading membership and local trade accounts. We’ve done such a good job there hasn’t been much wine available to trade in London and beyond. Now as we start a new chapter with the release of our premium cuvée, Patience, I am excited to be working with Island Media across both the Squerryes brand and Patience, which will be released in July.”
Clare Malec, Founder of Island Media, said: “Squerryes is one of the most exciting estates in English sparkling wine — historically rich, technically rigorous and genuinely anchored in its sense of place. It is an exceptional moment to help shape the next phase of the estate’s story.”
Natasha Najm, Consultant at Island Media, added: “Squerryes has a singular narrative in English sparkling wine, balancing heritage, terroir and time. We look forward to working closely with Henry, Tom and Jo as the estate builds its profile across London and the national wine trade.”
