Vagabond Wines opened the doors to London’s largest urban winery at Canada Water in December 2025. It is an experience that blends winemaking, eating, drinking and discovery under one roof, bringing Londoners closer to the craft of wine than ever before.

Spread across 6,000 square feet, the new Canada Water winery is a place where guests can explore a fully working 100-tonne cellar, taste straight from tank or barrel, try more than 100 wines by the glass and enjoy everything from a quick drink to a full dinner.

A new kind of London experience

More than a bar and more than a winery, Vagabond Canada Water combines large scale winemaking with one of the most immersive wine experiences in the capital. Opening in time for the Christmas party season, the space has been designed for everything from after work catch ups to big celebrations, and will begin hosting large private events and wedding receptions from early 2026.

Guests can book a range of new experiences created specifically for the site – from guided winery tours to winemaking workshops and tasting flights – as well as sessions at The Vagabond Academy, which offers accessible wine education for every level of curiosity.

The opening marks the latest step in the significant investment programme from Majestic Wine and Fortress Investment Group, backing Vagabond’s next stage of growth and its mission to connect more people to winemaking in the heart of the city.

Where London meets the vineyard

Vagabond has spent years building a loyal community of curious drinkers who want discovery without the fuss. The new site builds on that idea, connecting Londoners directly to the stories, growers and creativity behind every bottle. The winery will host Christmas parties from this week, with bookings for wedding receptions opening early next year – offering one of London’s only opportunities to celebrate inside a working winery.

Opening as part of British Land’s major regeneration project, the winery sits moments from the new leisure centre and the waterside, adding a new cultural destination to the area.

Christobell Giles, Managing Director at Vagabond Wines, said: “This is where London meets the vineyard. Winemaking has come back to the water and we have built a space that connects people to craft, creativity and community. You can feel the energy of the cellar while you drink. It is wine discovery made simple, modern and fun.”
